At age 73, Steven passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Wednesday, October 28, 2026, at his home in Conesus. He was born on October 27, 1953, in Rochester, NY, to the late Harold M. and Edna M. (Morrison) Rush.
Survived by his beloved wife of 55 years, Carol A. (Randolph) Rush; his son, Craig (Lynn) Rush; his grandchildren, Daniel Rush, Zachary Rush; his siblings, Linda (Howard) Fries and Peter (Carol) Rush; his beloved fur baby, Festus Harold T, along with several in-laws and extended family including nieces, nephews, and many dear friends.
Whether battling his family & friends in a round of golf or his final health battle. Steve was a tough warrior and a fierce competitor. He never gave up on the golf course or in life; he fought with his whole heart right until his last breath.
As a teenager, he met the love of his life and soulmate, Carol. They immediately started a life journey full of love & mutual respect; soon they welcomed their only son and their greatest joy, Craig.
He had a great sense of humor and could be very charming when he needed to be. He went by many nicknames through his life: Yippy, Stymie, Old 3 putt, and Ole Buddy.
