Patricia was born on Sunday, May 14, 1944, in Newark, NY, the daughter of the late Roy and Flossie (Haynes) Vollertsen. She grew up in Newark and graduated from Newark High School.
Patricia worked at Newark-Wayne Community Hospital for 17 years as a supervisor in the housekeeping department before moving to Central Supply. With a strong work ethic, she later established her own cleaning business, which she operated for more than 20 years. Patricia continued working alongside her husband until just one day before her passing. As a young woman, Patricia had the honor of being named Rose Princess, a special memory. Patricia and her husband shared 64 wonderful years together, building a lifetime of cherished memories. The two were inseparable, doing nearly everything together. They especially enjoyed riding their motorcycles, fishing, dancing, and spending time with friends. Patricia also enjoyed attending Silver Sneakers classes, needlepoint, and working on a variety of crafts. Known for her wonderful sense of humor, and love of dancing, Patricia was often the life of the party.
