Darrell H. Brown, 74, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, September 9, 2026.
The family will greet friends from 1 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, September 13, 2026, at Halsted-Patrick Funeral Home, 19 North Main Street, Manchester, NY 14504. Darrell's funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, September 14, 2026, at First Baptist Church of Manchester, 54 South Main Street, Manchester, NY 14504. Private burial will be in St. Rose Cemetery.

Darrell was born the son of the late Howard and Shirley (Roth) Brown on Friday, March 7, 1952, in Elkhorn, Wisconsin. At the age of five, Darrell and his family moved to Shortsville, where he grew up and graduated from Red Jacket High School with the Class of 1970.
Following high school, Darrell began working at American Can, where he spent seventeen years and became a line supervisor. He later joined GW Lisk, where he worked as a production foreman for twenty-seven years before retiring.
Darrel was an avid sports fan who loved cheering on the New York Giants and New York Yankees. As much as he enjoyed watching his favorite teams, nothing compared to watching his grandchildren. Whether they were playing sports or taking the stage for a theater performance, Darrell rarely missed an opportunity to be there. He was incredibly proud of his grandchildren and treasured the time he spent supporting and encouraging them. Darrell will be remembered by his wife of fifty-three years, Donna; a son, Bryan (Clarice); his daughter-in-law, Julie Brown; beloved grandchildren, Noah, Connor, Alaina, Jacob, Garrett, and Silas; siblings, Donald Brown, Bruce (Sherry) Brown, Debbie Shaffer, Lisa (Wayne) Bellis, Linda (Tim) Quinlan, Steve (Joan) Backer, and Laurie (Brian) DiPiazza; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Charles (Marie) Ryan and Douglas (Josette) Ryan; many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins; and dear friends, Ed Wallace and David Vanderlinden.
