A Dansville man has been indicted on a felony assault charge after allegedly injuring another inmate at the Livingston County Jail in Geneseo.
Livingston County District Attorney Ashley Williams announced the Oct. 28 indictment in a release Wednesday.
Samuel Diaz, 34, faces one count of second-degree assault, a Class D felony.
The indictment alleges Diaz intentionally caused physical injury to another inmate Aug. 13 at the jail in the village of Geneseo.
Diaz is scheduled to appear before Judge Kevin Van Allen on Nov. 24.
