Yankees prospect Kyle West hits three homers in standout Fall League week

Yankees first baseman Kyle West hit three home runs during the Arizona Fall League's fourth week, including the league's longest homer of the season, to earn a spot among MLB Pipeline's top performers.

West went 4-for-14 for Salt River with a double, three runs scored and five RBIs, according to MLB Pipeline's weekly report. All four of his hits went for extra bases.

Two long drives open West's week

West began his first at-bat Monday with a 462-foot home run that left his bat at 112 mph. It was the longest homer of the Fall League season.

Later in the same game, he hit a 450-foot homer at 109.2 mph, a drive that ranked fifth on the league's distance leaderboard at the time of the report.

The 6-foot-2, 195-pound first baseman completed his three-homer week with a three-run shot Saturday. He was the only player to homer three times during Week 4.

West, a 13th-round draft pick in 2025, also drew a walk and struck out four times during the week. He is one of seven Fall League players with at least four home runs this season.

Salt River teammates also earn recognition

Salt River pitcher Jarlin Susana and outfielder Jared Thomas joined West among the seven players highlighted. Susana allowed one hit and one run over five innings, walking two and striking out five. The Nationals prospect topped 100 mph 40 times and reached 102.9 mph.

Thomas, a Rockies prospect, went 9-for-18 with three triples, a double, seven runs and four RBIs. His five triples through 19 games led the league.

The other selections were Peoria pitcher Braxton Bragg, who threw four scoreless innings; Glendale infielder Colby Shelton, who drove in 12 runs; Glendale outfielder Isaiah Drake, who went 7-for-10 without a strikeout; and Mesa catcher Miguel Useche, who had five extra-base hits and nine RBIs.

Each Fall League team has played at least 21 games. Jack O'Dowd and Alex McCoy led the home run race with five apiece, while Welbyn Francisca topped the OPS standings at 1.237, according to the report.
