Finger Lakes Power Systems hosts chamber mixer; November event set for Shortsville

Finger Lakes Power Systems opened its Penn Yan warehouse to local business representatives for the Finger Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce's October networking mixer. The chamber's next Business After Hours event is scheduled for November 18 in Shortsville.

The October 14 gathering took place at 3333 Skyline Drive, where guests toured the company's space, with wine from Fox Run Vineyards and food from Keuka Lake Farm Market, according to the chamber.

Owner Dan Lewis discussed the company's growth and industry trends and thanked employees for their work. Finger Lakes Power Systems traces its roots to QwikSolar, where Lewis became a partner in 2014 before taking sole ownership in 2017.

Lewis, an electrician from the region, expanded the business into a full-service electrical contractor specializing in solar arrays, battery storage and automatic standby generators. The company serves residential, commercial and agricultural customers across the Finger Lakes, including custom off-grid projects.

Fox Run Vineyards owner Scott Osbron spoke about industry changes, community partnerships and investing in marketing. Chamber President Miranda Odell said the mixers give members a behind-the-scenes look at businesses, including trade-based operations customers might not otherwise visit.

The November 18 mixer will run from 4 to 6 p.m. at N-Hance of the Finger Lakes, 9 East High Street in Shortsville. Reservations are required. Admission is $10 for members and $20 for nonmembers, and the event is included for 2026 Business After Hours season-pass holders.

Reservations and information are available at info@flxchamber.com or 315-789-1776. The mixers generally take place on the second Wednesday of the month from 4 to 6 p.m., with exceptions such as the November date, and are open to the public.

Hosting is a promotional benefit available to qualified chamber customers with at least two years of membership. Program and season-pass details are available at flxchamber.com.

Founded in 1902 as the Geneva Chamber of Commerce, the privately funded regional organization provides public-relations services and business connections throughout the Finger Lakes.
