The Geneva Family YMCA will honor a corporate partner, an employee and a volunteer at its Nov. 13 benefit gala at Club 86 in Geneva. The event's “Tailgates and Touchdowns” theme will frame an evening of dinner, music, dancing and live and silent auctions.
The YMCA's gala page lists tickets at $80 per person. The organization said the event will raise support for programs serving youth, adults, families and seniors in the region.
Ann Nenneau was named Corporate Partner of the Year, Eileen Baker Employee of the Year and William Srmack Volunteer MVP, according to a release forwarded by the YMCA. The organization said it selected the three for contributions to its work in social responsibility, health and wellness, and youth development.
Board President Robert Sollenne said Nenneau and CCN International contributed products and expertise to the YMCA's capital project. He credited Nenneau's guidance with helping improve the facility for members and the community.
Baker arrives at 4:30 a.m. to welcome people who swim and exercise before work, Interim CEO Charlie Evangelista said. He described her as dependable and attentive to members, saying staff regularly hear that her greetings make a difference.
Srmack helps with cooking, cleaning, landscaping and other work at the YMCA, the organization said. It described him as someone who readily takes on projects when asked to help.
The YMCA is offering corporate sponsorships at four levels and seeking donations for the gala's live and silent auctions. Individual tickets are on sale through the gala page, which also has sponsorship and auction information. The page says tickets include appetizers, dinner and cake, with a vegetarian dinner option.
