The Town of Fayette Historical Society will host a lecture on the Marquis de Lafayette at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 13, at Fayette's Historic Stone Church in the hamlet of Fayette.
Rosalinda Baldwin will discuss Lafayette's life, his three visits to the United States and his connection to American history, according to an announcement society President Grace Freier emailed to FingerLakes1. Her talk is titled “The Marquis de Lafayette: Major General of the Continental Army & Hero of Two Worlds.”
The society invited community members and history enthusiasts to attend the program. Lafayette was a Revolutionary War figure who served as a major general in the Continental Army, the society said.
The announcement did not provide a street address for the church, admission details or registration instructions.
