An 18-year-old Fairport woman was taken into custody Saturday after deputies investigated a shoplifting complaint at Von Maur in Eastview Mall, according to the Ontario County Sheriff's Office.
The Sheriff's Office identified her as Kaitlyn Shin and said she is accused of selecting and concealing $308 worth of merchandise before leaving the store without paying.
The reported incident occurred at the store on Eastview Mall Drive in the town of Victor. The release describes the case as a larceny arrest but does not specify the exact charge.
Shin is due to appear in Victor Town Court at a later date, the Sheriff's Office said. No court date was provided.
