A Canandaigua man briefly escaped officers during an arrest at Commons Park before he was caught after a short foot pursuit, police said.
Juan Lebron-Jimenez, 18, was arrested Sept. 18 at about 12:14 a.m. after repeatedly refusing orders to leave the South Main Street park, according to an Oct. 5 Canandaigua Police Department blotter.
Police said Lebron-Jimenez resisted being handcuffed and escaped while officers escorted him to a patrol vehicle.
After he was caught and taken to the police station, officers said he refused to provide a photograph and fingerprints.
He was charged with third-degree escape, resisting arrest, two counts of obstructing governmental administration and being in a city park after hours.
Lebron-Jimenez was taken to the Ontario County Jail for arraignment, police said.
