Canandaigua man accused of threatening officer with knife during eviction

A Canandaigua man was charged after police said he threatened an officer with a knife during an eviction on Wilcox Lane.

David Nesbitt, 87, was arrested Sept. 29 at about 11:10 a.m., according to an Oct. 5 Canandaigua Police Department blotter.

Officers assisting building staff found Nesbitt inside the apartment after he had been evicted, police said.

The department charged him with third-degree criminal trespass and menacing a police officer.

Police did not report an injury. Nesbitt was taken to the Ontario County Jail for arraignment.
