Overnight paving will reduce U.S. Route 11, also known as Brewerton Road, to one lane in each direction in Cicero beginning Sunday night.
The restrictions will affect the stretch between Circle Drive and State Route 31 in Onondaga County, according to a state Department of Transportation advisory.
Work is scheduled from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. Sunday through Thursday, starting Sept. 27 and continuing through the morning of Oct. 9.
The notice describes lane reductions rather than a complete road closure. The work is intended to accommodate paving operations.
Construction is weather-dependent, and the schedule can change based on conditions.
DOT urges motorists to slow down in work zones. Speeding fines are doubled there, and two or more work-zone speeding convictions can result in a driver’s license suspension.
