The Lake House on Canandaigua will host a series of wellness events in October while raising money for the Breast Cancer Coalition of Rochester and offering free programming for cancer survivors and their families.
The monthlong schedule coincides with Emotional Wellness Month and Breast Cancer Awareness Month and includes Pilates, meditation, Reiki, gentle yoga and a sound bath.
The first event, Mat Pilates and Meditation, begins at 5:30 p.m. Oct. 7 in the resort's Event Barn. The $48 program includes a Pilates class, meditation, an emotional wellness exercise and a social hour at the Library Bar.
On Oct. 14, the resort will participate in a worldwide World Peace Card Meditation. The program begins at 6 p.m. with a lecture by Jen Agnitti of The Sovereign Key, followed by a Reiki meditation at 7:30 p.m. led by Lake House wellness leader Suzanne Frazer.
Free program for cancer survivors
The Lake House will offer Healing in Harmony, a complimentary gentle yoga and sound bath program, on Oct. 28. The event is designed for cancer survivors and their families and will focus on movement, rest and connection.
Throughout October, the resort will donate $2 from each featured pink cocktail and dessert sold to the Breast Cancer Coalition of Rochester. The menu will include drinks and desserts named Just Peachy, I Pink I Can, Pink Ribbon and Pink Apple Financier.
Willowbrook Spa will donate $20 from each Pink Cactus Illuminating Facial booked during the month. Lake House employees also plan to participate in the Rochester Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk.
Fall spa menu begins
The resort's October schedule also marks the launch of a fall treatment menu featuring an Autumn Escape Massage, Toasted Marshmallow and Caramel Body Scrub, and an Anti-Aging Exosome Booster Facial.
Frazer said the programming is intended to give guests and community members different ways to support emotional wellness through movement, quiet time and connection.
Event registration and reservation information is available through The Lake House on Canandaigua's website.
