A Canandaigua man faces a felony charge after police alleged he falsely reported placing an explosive device inside a Lakeshore Drive business.
The Canandaigua Police Department said Joseph A. Legrett, 39, was arrested Sept. 12 and charged with second-degree falsely reporting an incident.
Police alleged Legrett called the Ontario County 911 center that day and said he had placed a device set to detonate inside the business.
Legrett was processed and taken to the Ontario County Jail for arraignment.
Police said he was held on $10,000 cash bail following arraignment.
