Dozens of residents packed a Palmyra Village Board meeting Monday to question officials about former Police Chief Kyle DiNardo’s resignation and a disputed payment claim, according to RochesterFirst.
The village said DiNardo had board approval to provide security at the 2025 Wayne County Fair and that the fair paid about $8,800 directly to the village.
Fair operator Pamela Ferranti confirmed the payment arrangement and said the contract and meeting records were publicly available.
DiNardo’s wife alleged that an unidentified village representative promoted the claim that her husband personally received $10,000, saying the controversy has harmed their family.
Community advocate Tricia Kuntz called for accountability and a public apology, while the Village Clerk’s Office declined further comment beyond a statement correcting what it called inaccurate information.
