A Moravia woman was charged with menacing, weapon possession and child endangerment after deputies said she threatened someone with metal grilling tongs in front of a child.
The Cayuga County Sheriff's Office said deputies responded to a reported domestic incident in the town of Moravia at about 6:43 p.m. September 7 and arrested Katy C. Wilson, 44, about 46 minutes later.
Investigators said Wilson had left the scene in a vehicle before deputies arrived.
Deputies located her on Chapel Street in the village of Union Springs and took her into custody, according to the sheriff's office.
Wilson was charged with second-degree menacing, fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon and endangering the welfare of a child.
After processing at the Public Safety Building, she was arraigned the morning of September 8 and released on her own recognizance.
She is due in Moravia Town Court at a later date, which the sheriff's office did not specify.
