A Lyons man faces assault and criminal contempt charges after deputies investigated a family dispute at Central Park in the town, according to the Wayne County Sheriff's Office.
Deputies accused Ronald N. Smalls Jr., 31, of assaulting another person during a verbal argument. The sheriff's office did not provide further details about the alleged assault or the contempt charge.
Smalls, of Shuler Street, was charged with third-degree assault and first-degree criminal contempt.
He was taken to the Wayne County Jail to await centralized arraignment, the sheriff's office said.
