A Town of Marion woman was charged with resisting arrest and obstructing governmental administration after a Sept. 10 traffic stop on Route 31 in Lyons, the Wayne County Sheriff's Office said.
Deputies allege Cheyenne R. Melis, 38, was driving a vehicle with a suspended registration and refused to get out when it was to be towed from the scene.
The sheriff's office said Melis also was charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, operating with a suspended registration and operating without insurance.
Melis was released with an appearance ticket and is due in Lyons Town Court at a later date; the release did not provide a court date.
