A Farmington man was charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs Thursday night after witnesses reported a vehicle crossing roadway lines and traveling slowly in Canandaigua, deputies said.
The Ontario County Sheriff’s Office said deputies investigated the complaint around 10:30 p.m. near the intersection of state routes 5 and 20 and Route 364.
Deputies located the vehicle and identified the driver as Julius T. Donath, 28, of Hook Road in Farmington.
The sheriff’s office said further investigation determined Donath was impaired, but the release did not identify the suspected drug or describe any testing.
Donath was charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs, failure to turn as required and failure to keep right.
He was issued traffic tickets and is scheduled to appear in Canandaigua Town Court at a later date, according to deputies.
