The Cornell Lab of Ornithology will hold its annual Migration Celebration from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 12, at 159 Sapsucker Woods Road in Ithaca.
The free, family-friendly event will include bird walks, workshops, presentations, hands-on activities and live birds of prey. A Cayuga Bird Club walk will begin at 8:30 a.m.
Activities will also cover bird-friendly homes, bird sounds and migration. The visitor center and its exhibits are accessible.
Lisa Kopp, the lab's visitor experience manager, said the celebration is designed to connect new and experienced birders with fall migration and the habitat around Sapsucker Woods.
