Cornell University will host a free public lecture Sept. 9 on lessons from more than three decades of songbird migration research.
Sara Morris has studied migration at a long-term bird-banding station on Appledore Island, Maine, since 1990. She will present findings from that work during the 2026 Paul C. Mundinger Distinguished Lectureship.
The program, titled “The Fascinating Phenomenon of Songbird Migration,” will begin at 6 p.m. in Room 226 of Weill Hall on Cornell’s Ithaca campus.
Cornell said the lecture will also be streamed live and is open to the public at no cost.
