A motorcyclist was taken to Newark-Wayne Community Hospital with minor injuries after a collision Wednesday afternoon in Sodus, according to the Wayne County Sheriff's Office.
Deputies said the crash happened at 12:55 p.m. at the intersection of Route 14 and Brick Church Road.
Investigators said Jamaal Walker, 31, of Lyons was riding south on Route 14 when a vehicle driven by Randall J. Bittner, 74, of Sodus entered the intersection after allegedly failing to yield the right of way.
Walker took evasive action and was thrown from the motorcycle, deputies said. He was the motorcycle's only occupant.
New York State Police, the Alton Fire Department and Wayne County EMS assisted deputies at the scene.
