The Wayne County Board of Supervisors unanimously appointed Mark Humbert as county administrator after he served in the interim role since March 2025, according to the Finger Lakes Times.
Humbert will earn $163,508 and serve through Dec. 31, completing former Administrator Rick House’s unexpired term.
A selection committee recommended Humbert after interviewing him and other candidates in June.
Board Chair Kim Leonard said Humbert distinguished himself through his administrative experience and work addressing lingering county policy issues.
Humbert, 63, previously worked as a college administrator and led the Wayne County Regional Land Bank before taking the county administrator role.
