Firefighters responded to a maintenance-barn fire at Lollypop Farm in Fairport early Wednesday, but no animals, employees or visitors were endangered, the organization said.
Workers reported seeing smoke inside the barn and immediately called 911, according to a statement from Lollypop Farm, the Humane Society of Greater Rochester.
First responders assessed the scene and took steps to address the fire. The cause remained under investigation Wednesday morning, and the organization did not report the extent of any damage.
The Egypt and Bushnell's Basin fire departments responded along with the Monroe County Sheriff's Office.
Lollypop Farm said its south campus entrance was temporarily closed while emergency crews completed their work. The organization said it would provide more information as it became available.
