Animal shelters and rescue groups will hold pet adoption events Saturday, Aug. 15, at Tractor Supply stores in Ontario, Wayne County, and Montour Falls, Schuyler County, as part of the retailer's Animal Days promotion.
Logan's Rescue and Purple Haze Center/Finger Lakes Thoroughbred Adoption are scheduled to participate at the Ontario store, while the Humane Society of Schuyler County will appear at the Montour Falls location, according to an event announcement.
The Ontario store is at 662 Route 104 in Wayne County. The announcement lists Logan's Rescue at 585-319-9220 and Finger Lakes Thoroughbred Adoption at 585-905-7457 for more information.

Seventeen Tractor Supply stores across New York are expected to host shelters or rescue groups Saturday. The company's Animal Days promotion runs through Aug. 23 and includes pet and animal products, treats, toys and health and wellness supplies.
Tractor Supply and Miranda Lambert's MuttNation Foundation are also awarding $255,000 in grants to 51 animal shelters nationwide as part of the promotion, according to the announcement.
