A 17-year-old was hospitalized after being stabbed during a fight with another teenager in the village of Sodus, according to New York State Police.
Troopers responded at about 8:10 p.m. on Thursday to the Subway parking lot at 40 W. Main St. for a reported stabbing.
Investigators said two 17-year-old males who had a history of altercations became involved in a physical confrontation in the parking lot.
During the fight, one of the teens suffered a stab wound to the abdomen.
The victim was transported by ambulance to Strong Memorial Hospital and was listed in stable condition.
Police said the 17-year-old suspect was identified and later returned to the scene with his parents after they learned investigators were looking for him.
The suspect and his parents were cooperating with police, and the investigation remained active.
Because both people involved are juveniles, State Police said no additional identifying information would be released.
The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office assisted with the investigation.
