The 2026 Krossin' Keuka fundraiser has raised more than $134,000 for Keuka Comfort Care Home, with organizers saying additional donations were still arriving after the July 25 event.
The Keuka Lake swim and paddle drew 199 registered swimmers and 55 registered paddlers, supported by volunteers, lifeguards, boat captains, emergency personnel and community partners.
Krossin' Keuka is the largest annual fundraiser for the Yates County comfort care home, which provides end-of-life care without charging residents or their families and does not bill insurance companies.
Event proceeds help the home continue operating without placing a financial burden on the people it serves, according to organizers. The home relies on donors, volunteers and community support.
Anne Killen and Steve Heller, co-chairs of Krossin' Keuka, said the response reflected community support for the home's mission of providing comfort, dignity and compassionate care.
The planning committee credited participants and donors along with boat crews, the Yates County Sheriff's Office Marine Patrol, Penn Yan Volunteer Ambulance, Keuka College, sponsors, local businesses and other community organizations for helping conduct the event.
Some swimmers and paddlers participated in memory or honor of loved ones, while others joined the event for the first time, organizers said.
