Mynderse Academy is launching a new annual recognition program honoring graduates whose professional achievements and community service can serve as an example for current students.
The Seneca Falls Central School District announced the Mynderse Academy Distinguished Alum Recognition, which will honor one graduate each year during the school’s commencement ceremony.
The program was created in 2026 to recognize alumni for outstanding accomplishments, civic engagement, positive community contributions and significant achievements in their field.
The selected alum, or a designated representative, will also engage with current Mynderse Academy students and speak during graduation.
Nominees must have graduated from Mynderse at least 10 years ago.
The selection committee will consider a nominee’s long-term community influence, record of service and civic involvement, professional accomplishments, and awards or other recognition received.
Nominations will be accepted on a rolling basis. Applications submitted by Nov. 1 will be considered for the current school year, while later submissions will be reviewed for a future year.
After an initial nomination is reviewed, the district will send a full application packet. Completed nominations can be submitted to distinguishedalum@senecafallscsd.org.
