Village of Aurora residents served by the public water system are being asked to conserve water until further notice after a water main break disrupted the system.
The break occurred on the Wells College campus, according to the Cayuga County Health Department. The village is operating without the Sherwood Road water tank while repairs are underway.
A small number of properties were without water service when the conservation order was issued Wednesday.
Officials did not provide an estimated timeline for completing the repairs. Residents will be notified when the conservation order has been lifted.
