Firefighters cleared a section of Half Acre Road on Friday morning after downed communication lines blocked the roadway, according to the Aurelius Volunteer Fire Department.
Crews were dispatched at 9:14 a.m. for a report of wires across the road and found that the lines were communication lines, not energized power lines.
Firefighters said they safely disentangled a truck from the wires and cleared the road, restoring normal traffic flow.
Engine 1, Engine 2 and Car 3 responded to the incident, along with the Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office Patrol.
All units were back in service by 10:40 a.m., according to the department.
