New Watkins Glen Farmers Market debuts Tuesday

A new farmers market is coming to Watkins Glen this summer, giving residents and visitors another opportunity to shop local while enjoying live entertainment in the heart of the village.

The Watkins Glen Farmers Market will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. every Tuesday from June 30 through Aug. 25 at Lafayette Park. The weekly event will take place alongside the Village of Watkins Glen’s Summer Concert Series, which runs from 7 to 9 p.m. at the same location.

Organizers say the market will feature a variety of local produce vendors, artisans, nonprofit organizations, and food trucks, creating a community gathering that combines shopping, dining, and live music.

The market is being organized by the Finger Lakes Gateway Community Development Corporation, a nonprofit organization serving Schuyler County. Officials say the goal is to support local farmers, craftspeople, community groups, and small businesses while drawing additional visitors to downtown Watkins Glen throughout the summer.

Vendor applications are still being accepted for the 2026 season. Interested vendors can contact Market Manager Natalie Baris at watkinsglenfarmersmarket@gmail.com for more information.

According to organizers, the new market will provide local vendors with a platform to showcase their products and services while offering residents and visitors a place to gather, connect with neighbors, and enjoy the village’s popular summer concert series.

By pairing the farmers market with the weekly concerts, organizers hope to create a vibrant destination that encourages community engagement and supports the local economy.
