Ontario County Senior Communications Officer Nathan Martin has been recognized by the Kiwanis Club of Geneva with its 2026 Hometown Hero Award.
The Ontario County Sheriff's Office said Martin has worked as a 911 dispatcher for 17 years, including 12 years in a supervisory role.
Martin is also a past fire chief and life member of the West Lake Road Fire Department.
He volunteers as a deputy fire coordinator for Ontario County Emergency Management and serves on the Ontario County Fire Advisory Board and Communications Advisory Board.
The sheriff's office also noted Martin's involvement with youth hockey and his time spent outdoors with family and friends.
