Williamson man charged with felony DWI after deputies say four children were in vehicle

A Williamson man faces multiple felony and misdemeanor charges after deputies said he drove while intoxicated with four children in his vehicle during a disturbance investigation.

Adam J. Noto, 38, of East Townline Road, was arrested after Wayne County sheriff’s deputies investigated a reported disturbance in the Town of Williamson. Authorities allege Noto operated a vehicle while intoxicated and had four minors in the vehicle at the time.

According to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office, Noto refused standardized field sobriety tests and declined to provide a chemical breath sample. He was charged with felony driving while intoxicated due to a prior conviction within the last 10 years, four counts of aggravated driving while intoxicated with a child under Leandra’s Law, four counts of endangering the welfare of a child, and first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation.

Noto was transported to the Wayne County Jail to await centralized arraignment. He is scheduled to appear in Williamson Town Court at a later date to answer the charges.
