A months-long investigation into stolen construction materials from a Town of Ontario job site has resulted in a felony larceny charge against an Irondequoit man.
Juan Baute-Delgado, 51, was charged with fourth-degree grand larceny following an investigation by the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office into the reported theft of building materials from a contractor’s work site. The materials were reported stolen on or about March 17, according to investigators.
Sheriff’s detectives said the investigation ultimately led to Baute-Delgado’s arrest. Authorities did not provide additional details about the value of the materials allegedly taken or the circumstances surrounding the theft.
Baute-Delgado was processed at the Wayne County Jail and released with an appearance ticket. He is scheduled to appear in Ontario Town Court at a later date to answer the charge.
