The New York Mets improved to 6-4 with a 5-2 win over the San Francisco Giants on Sunday afternoon at Oracle Park, scoring four runs in the eighth inning to secure their third straight victory and take three of four in the series.

Jorge Polanco doubled and Luis Robert Jr. followed with a single before Luis Torrens delivered a go-ahead two-run double to put the Mets in front 3-2. Mark Vientos reached on a misplay that allowed another run to score, and Marcus Semien added an RBI double to extend the lead to 5-2.
