Six arrested after trespassing incident at Clyde-Savannah school athletic field

Six young adults from Wayne County are facing charges after authorities say they unlawfully entered a secured athletic facility and occupied a press box at Clyde-Savannah High School.

The arrests follow an investigation by the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office into an incident that occurred at the school’s athletic field in the village of Clyde.

Deputies arrested Anthony Scott-Hammond, 21; Gracin Hilliard, 21; Cameron Thorn, 20; Jaylen Barnes, 20; Tristan Smith, 20; and Natalie Reed, 20, all of the Town of Galen. Investigators determined the group entered a fenced-in athletic field on Nov. 29 at approximately 8:47 p.m. before going into the press box, where they remained unlawfully.

All six were charged with third-degree criminal trespass. In addition, Scott-Hammond and Hilliard each face a charge of unlawfully dealing with a child in the first degree, according to the sheriff’s office.

The individuals were transported to the Wayne County Jail for processing and later released on appearance tickets. They are scheduled to answer the charges in Galen Town Court at a later date.
