Authorities arrested a man following a domestic incident investigation in Lyons. The case involved allegations of physical injury and interference with emergency contact.
David O. Furman, 65, of State Route 414 in Clyde, faces charges of third-degree assault and fourth-degree criminal mischief, according to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies said Furman struck another person with a closed fist, causing injury. Investigators also allege he took the person’s phone and prevented them from contacting 911.
Furman was taken to the Wayne County Jail to await centralized arraignment. He is scheduled to appear in the Town of Lyons Court at a later date to answer the charges.
