Missile alerts and shelter warnings rattled a Hilton family after their daughter found herself near the path of Middle East missile exchanges, according to News10NBC.
Aleyna Mooney, a Hilton High School junior studying abroad in Amman, Jordan, has been there since August. Her parents say sirens have sounded as missiles traveling between Iran and Israel pass over Jordan, forcing residents to take shelter.
Jordan isn’t a direct target, but it lies along the flight paths of missiles in the conflict. Mooney’s parents say they’re anxiously tracking her flight home, with the student expected to return to Rochester late Friday night.
