A months-long investigation into school absences in Wayne County has led to the arrest of a Town of Sodus woman.
Amanda M. Dorsch, 38, of North Geneva Road, was arrested by Wayne County sheriff’s deputies on March 4.
Deputies charged Dorsch with two counts of endangering the welfare of a child.
Investigators said the charges stem from an investigation that began in September. Authorities allege two of Dorsch’s children were absent from school for more than 60 days between September and February.
Deputies R. Carr and Culver conducted the investigation.
Dorsch was transported to the Wayne County Jail for centralized arraignment.
