Police arrested a woman after officers heard screaming near Liberty Street and found a vehicle had just been stolen.
Cloey S. Hoaglin, 22, of Bath, was taken into custody around 1:57 p.m. Jan. 19 near the Village of Bath Police Department.
Officers said they heard screaming on Liberty Street and began investigating. They encountered a victim who reported his vehicle had just been stolen.
Police said when the victim began screaming, the female suspect got out of the vehicle and ran. Officers located her hiding behind a dumpster in the area and took her into custody.
Hoaglin was charged with one count of grand larceny in the fourth degree, a Class E felony.
She was transported to the Steuben County Jail for CAP arraignment, where she remains held with the opportunity for bail.
