A man wanted on a felony bench warrant was taken into custody Tuesday night in Geneva.
Geno R. Thomas, 16 Dove Street, was arrested after deputies executed a search warrant at his home, according to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office.
Wayne County Court issued the bench warrant on Dec. 16 after Thomas failed to appear in court. He was due to answer a charge of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the second degree, an A-II felony.
Deputies located Thomas inside the Dove Street residence. Authorities transported him to the Wayne County Jail without incident.
Thomas is scheduled to appear at 9 a.m. Feb. 26 in Wayne County Court.
The Sheriff’s Office said the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office, Geneva Police Department, New York State Police, the Wayne County District Attorney’s Office, and the Wayne County Tip Line assisted in the arrest.
