Deputies arrested a Wolcott man after investigators determined a reported stabbing never happened.
John Leflore, 26, of Wolcott called 911 on Feb. 23 and reported that a man had cut his stomach with a knife outside his home on Lake Avenue in the village, according to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies investigated the report and found it was false, authorities said.
Leflore was charged with one count of falsely reporting an incident.
He was processed and released with an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in Wolcott Village Court at a later date.
