Police say a Branchport woman faces charges after officers watched her drive straight through an intersection from a left-turn-only lane in Penn Yan.
Joanna J. Rutherford, 41, was arrested by the Penn Yan Police Department following the traffic stop on Maple Avenue.
Officers said they stopped Rutherford after they saw her continue straight while positioned in a lane marked for left turns only.
A license check showed her driving privileges were suspended for a DWI and an administrative action, according to police.
Police charged Rutherford with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle in the second degree and failure to use a designated lane.
Officers issued her tickets, and she will appear in village court at a later date.
