Two Macedon men face charges after what police described only as the “same event,” but authorities shared few details about what led to a felony assault charge.
Town of Macedon Police announced the arrests in a brief social media post that did not include the date, location, or circumstances of the incident.
Police charged Cody J. Haupt, 33, of Macedon, with Assault in the second degree, a felony under New York law.
Officers also charged Timothy Mottler, 67, of Macedon, with Harassment in the second degree, a violation.
The department did not describe what allegedly happened, whether anyone suffered injuries, or how the two men were involved in the incident.
Police arraigned both men at CAP Court. A judge released Mottler with orders to appear in Macedon Town Court at a later date.
A judge also released Haupt following arraignment. He will appear in the Town of Macedon Court at a later date.
Beyond the charges and basic court information, the department did not provide additional details about the case.
