Bay View model home opens in Geneva

Construction crews are busy on the west side of Seneca Lake as a new model home and design center opens its doors to buyers.

Design Build Inc. has started work on multiple homes in the Bay View development in the Town of Geneva, and the new Model Home & Design Center at 30 Bay View Terrace is now open for tours. One spec home is currently listed for sale and will be completed shortly, while other homes under construction are already under contract.

The builder expects to break ground on additional homes in the coming weeks as weather allows. Bay View will feature one- and two-story homes ranging from 1,250 to 2,500 square feet.

Each home includes first-floor laundry, a full basement with 9-foot ceilings and a large egress window, a two-car garage, and a primary bedroom with an ensuite bath and tiled walk-in shower. The development also includes sidewalks, ponds, wooded trails, a neighborhood park, lake views, municipal water and sewer service, and fiber optic internet. Utilities are already installed in the first two of five phases, and buyers can choose from 29 available lots, some with views of the woods or Seneca Lake.

Builder Jeff Curcio said homes will be fully constructed on-site. “Stick building offers a more reliable timetable and more finish options to better accommodate today’s Home Buyer. We’re installing Superior Walls, an upgraded product, in our basements which is favored by home buyers. If conditions are optimal, the entire basement install can be completed in one day.”

Curcio has built residential and commercial properties in Greater Rochester and the Finger Lakes for more than 20 years. Susan Coyne, a Rochester native who now lives in Geneva, serves as Director of Sales and Interior Design.

“While we have a few exterior finish touches to complete, we’re super excited to have opened the new Model Home & Design Center,” Coyne said. “I think mortgage interest rates have essentially stabilized to the new norm and Home Buyers are increasing their mortgage savvy by scrutinizing fees and rate options.”

The Model & Design Center is open Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday, with other days available by appointment. Buyers can visit www.bayviewgeneva.com for more information or call 315-651-3730 to schedule a tour.
