Families can lace up their skates and hit the ice this weekend in Phelps.
The Phelps Business Development and Tourism Council is hosting a free family ice skating event Saturday, February 14, at Redfield Park.
The event runs from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and is weather dependent. Skaters are asked to skate at their own risk.
Free skate rentals will be available throughout the event, making it easy for families to join in even if they don’t have their own equipment. Organizers will also offer popcorn and hot cocoa during the day.
The Phelps-Clifton Springs Community Theatre is volunteering its time to help make the event possible.
Organizers encourage residents to stop by, enjoy the winter weather, and spend time together on the ice.
