Traffic stop leads to felony drug arrest in Clyde

A routine traffic stop in Clyde ended with an elderly man facing a felony drug charge.

State troopers identified the driver as Ralph W. Mann, 74, of 1693 Grand Avenue in the Town of Savannah.

Troopers out of Lyons stopped the vehicle Tuesday, Feb. 3, on Route 31 for failure to maintain lane.

During a body search, troopers found Mann in possession of 500 milligrams of cocaine.

Authorities arrested Mann and charged him with felony criminal possession of a controlled substance in the fifth degree.

Troopers took Mann to the Wayne County Jail for CAP Court arraignment. The court released him on his own recognizance.

Mann is scheduled to appear in Town of Galen Court on March 11.
