Clyde man arrested after school trespass investigation

Deputies arrested a Clyde man after an investigation into a trespass complaint tied to a disturbance at a local high school. Authorities identified the man as Mark A. Devito, 66, of Lock Street in the Village of Clyde.

The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office said the investigation stemmed from a disturbance at Clyde-Savannah High School, according to a press release.

Deputies said Devito went to the high school and remained on the property while causing a disturbance. Investigators allege he had already received two trespass notice letters over the previous month.

As a result, deputies charged Devito with third-degree criminal trespass.

Deputies transported Devito to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office for processing. They later released him on an appearance ticket.

Devito is scheduled to appear in Galen Town Court at 8:30 a.m. on Feb. 18.
