Deputies responding to a report of an unconscious driver outside a Phelps convenience store ended the call with multiple criminal charges.
Investigators arrested Jason McCraw, 43, after responding to a 7-Eleven on State Route 14 on Feb. 3.
Deputies found McCraw behind the steering wheel of a vehicle and determined he was impaired and in control of the car.
During the investigation, deputies said McCraw tampered with physical evidence and was found in possession of a controlled substance.
Deputies arrested McCraw on charges of driving while ability impaired by drugs, tampering with physical evidence, and criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree.
They transported him to the Ontario County Jail to await his appearance at CAP.
