Federal funds boost Phelps, Waterloo sewer projects

Two Finger Lakes communities just landed major sewer upgrades, according to the Finger Lakes Times.

Rep. Claudia Tenney announced federal funding for infrastructure projects in Phelps and Waterloo as part of a congressional spending package. The money targets clean water, wastewater systems, and environmental resilience across upstate New York.

Phelps will receive $1 million to improve its sanitary sewer distribution system. Waterloo will get $750,000 for sewer upgrades and improvements at its wastewater treatment plant. Tenney said the investments support public health, economic growth, and long-term reliability for local families and businesses.
